Grad Statement 2012

*********************************

Students can now book retakes online at lifetouch.ca/Vancouver, Even if you are not planning on ordering a photo package, EVERY grad needs to have their photo taken for the yearbook, and you do not need an appointment, but simply show up for your photo to be taken – there is no cost for a yearbook only photo.  Students must have their photo taken if they plan on having a grad write-up in the yearbook.

****************************

The Ministry of Education has cancelled all optional grade 12 provincial exams and will now be calculating scholarships based on Grade 10-12 required provincial exams. Graduated students interested in rewriting their past Grade 12 provincial exams may do so according to ministry guidelines. Students wishing to rewrite exams for “old” math courses are now able to do so. All students must register with the school.

Please read these guidelines carefully.

School Grad Pranks and Student Safety:

This is a reminder to students and families about the risks involved with grad pranks at Surrey Schools.

Please read the attached bulletin.

****************************

Once again, the company “S-Trip” is promoting a student field trip for this year’s winter/spring break. This company is not affiliated with Sullivan Heights or Surrey School District in any way. As part of their unapproved practice, this company has been known to recruit students to distribute and promote the company on school property.  The brochure and method of distribution promotes the impression the offered trip is sanctioned by the school and District.  This trip is not organized or sanctioned by the school and therefore is not subject to school and District safety clearances, processes, supervision, and overview.
