About SD36 Business Company

SD36 Business Company (SD36BC) is an independent entity established by School District 36 (Surrey) in 2005. It is served by its own board of directors and is managed through its base of operations in the City of Surrey, Province of British Columbia, Canada. SD36BC provides educational services, personnel recruiting services, learning resource materials and consultation services to school districts, private companies and other public institutions, internationally and locally.

Projects currently in various stages of development or underway include:

• providing program consulting, teacher recruitment and quality assurance services to Canada Public International School in Mokdong, Korea
• working with educational jurisdictions in China and Korea to launch a number of projects committed to providing English language education for students ranging in age from 4 to 17
• working with educational jurisdictions in China, Japan and Korea to provide opportunities for teacher training in English language instruction
• working with a number of organizations to deliver an 8 month pre-university English language program to High School graduates in China
• providing industry specific English language training for information technology professionals in Quiugdao, China
• partnering with schools overseas in bringing students to the Surrey School District for short stay programs
