Hospital Homebound Program
 


The Hospital/Homebound program is for students who are enrolled in a Surrey School District school, but who are temporarily unable to attend due to medical reasons.

Hospital/Homebound teachers coordinate with the student's regular classroom teachers, and arrange appointments twice a week to teach the student at home or in the hospital.

Who is Eligible

A student enrolled in any Surrey School District public school, who is unable to attend school for medical reasons. The student may be enrolled in a regular, alternate or special program.

How to Refer a Student to the Program

  • Parents and guardians should contact the student's school counsellor or an administrator to make an online referral.
  • Counsellors, administrators, teachers, clerks and other school staff please make a referral online through First Class.
