Intensive Fine Arts

Grades K - 7

The Intensive Fine Arts program integrates the four areas of the fine arts - visual, music, drama, and dance - into all curriculum areas.

Operating within Surrey School District and B.C. provincial curriculum, the program strives to create a stimulating and culturally enriched learning environment where the fine arts are equal partners with what have traditionally been referred to as the "academic subjects" - mathematics, language arts, social studies and science.

Within the context of brain research and multiple intelligences learning theories, the goals are to develop students' abilities and enhance learning through the arts, creating a learning environment in which in-depth experience with the arts becomes a fundamental way of knowing.

Space is limited - a waitlist is maintained.
