The Business Development department administers:
Programs supported by the work of the Business Development department include after school programs, athletics, field trips, fine arts, literacy, school meal program, summer camps - 2010 Legacies Now, technology and Trading Up. View the donation-funded programs overview for more information.
Business Development also administers applications for commercial filming and oversees the facility rentals department.
Mandate
The department’s mandate is to generate funds and in-kind contributions that enhance, but do not replace, government funding. The department creates opportunities for district-wide and school-based programs that would not otherwise take place.
Fundraising activities of the Business Development department are reviewed and advised on by EBCPAC (Education Business Community Partnerships Advisory Committee) according to policy and regulation 10800, 10800.1, 10815 and 10815.1 ( PDF).
There are twelve members on the committee representing all district stakeholder groups along with two members of the business community. List of committee members ( PDF).
