Partners36 Scholarships
 


The Surrey School District is pleased to offer a number of scholarship and bursary opportunities to its graduates, called Partners36 Scholarships. They are made possible through the contributions of individuals, corporations and community service organizations.

Students attending one of the Surrey School District’s secondary schools or learning centres are eligible. See the eligibility requirements for more information.

The application deadline is on or before April 15 of the current school year. Completed applications should be submitted to the scholarship contact at your school. For more information, contact your school and ask for the Scholarship Committee chair.

J.S. McDonald Scholarship

  • 4 scholarships at $2,000
  • Open to grade 12 students graduating by June of the current year.
  • Applicants must be going on to study full time at an accredited university.
  • Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement as well as evidence of the following: active participation in school activities, leadership and community service.

  • 2 bursaries at $1,000 and 2 bursaries at $500
  • Open to students with outstanding academic achievement and community service.

Pacific West Cable Industry & Trades Scholarships

  • 2 scholarships at $1,000
  • Open to students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the trades.

Surrey Pre-Trial Services

  • 1 scholarship at $1,000
  • Open to students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the criminal justice system.
  • Application Form

Urban Spirit Foundation Bursary

  • 2 scholarships at $1,000
  • Intended to support urban Aboriginal people who have the ability and motivation to pursue further training and education.

Surrey Foundation Bursary

  • 1 bursary at $800
  • Open to students interested in pursuing a career in education who can demonstrate financial need.
  • Application Form

Surrey Retired Teachers Association Bursary

  • 3 bursaries at $800
  • Open to students interested in pursuing a career in education who can demonstrate financial need.

Hal Sinclair Memorial Scholarship

  • 2 scholarships at $750
  • Open to students interested in pursuing a career in education.
  • Application Form

Stewart Schon Memorial Scholarship

  • 2 scholarships at $750
  • Open to students interested in pursuing a career in education who have an average of B or better and demonstrate leadership and service to school and community.
  • Must have a recent membership (last 3 years) in the Scouting or Guiding movement or National Life Guard Certification.

Dr. F.D. Sinclair Elementary Scholarship

Global IT Scholarship

  • 1 scholarship at $500
  • Open to students with a career interest in IT who can demonstrate financial need..
  • Applicants must demonstrate good academic achievement in IT or Career Education programs, as well as leadership and community service.

Harris and Company Scholarship

  • 2 scholarships at $500
  • For an outstanding Law 12 student planning to pursue a career in Law.
  • Application Form

Learning Disabilities Award

  • 1 award at $500
  • Open to students who are designated SLD. A letter of support from the learner support teacher is required.
  • Application Form

McQuarrie Hunter Scholarship

  • 1 scholarship at $500
  • Open to students with outstanding achievement.
  • Application Form

Tess Fenger Memorial Scholarship

  • 1 scholarship at $500
  • Open to students pursuing studies in one of: forestry, ecology, environmental studies, marine biology or wildlife conservation. Evidence of work or volunteer experience in these areas is preferred.
