Peace Arch Elementary...... is located in the City of White Rock and has a
population of 530 students in Kindergarten to Grade 7. Peace Arch is a dual
track school hosting an English as well as an Early French Immersion
Program. Our school provides a welcoming environment where staff and
parents work together to provide a stimulating and caring atmosphere that
fosters student learning. Some of our school's strengths and
accomplishments include:
Full implementation of a Guided Reading Program in
Grades 1-4 A continued and steady increase in assessment results
for our Grade 3 students
in reading vocabulary and reading comprehension. Grade 4 and 7 students scored above the District and
Provincial average on the
Ministry Of Education's Foundation Skills Assessment
in reading and writing. An emphasis on collaborative planning between teachers. An emphasis on students working together to build
community. Extra curricular programs such as Choir, Chess Club,
Drama Club,
and a full range of sports teams.
