PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL
Minutes of April 6th. 2005 PAC at Johnston Heights School
Meeting commenced at 7:05pm

1. Welcome and Introductions
The following two items were added to the agenda:

Seniors Breakfast: Two students (Stacey Pittakidis and Connie Ou) were in attendance to give a presentation on a proposed senior’s breakfast. These two students are taking over the very successful initiative started by Stephanie Sebok (since graduated). The cost to host approximately 70 senior citizens on May 31, 2005 is $300
Motion: That the PAC support the Seniors Breakfast by way of a $300.00 donation - CARRIED

Calendar Project: Ray Dear (Vice Principal) was in attendance to propose increasing the size of the yearly school calendar that is sent home with all the students. The PAC has been supporting the calendar project for a number of years now. Information contained on the calendar is there to let parents know what is happening at the school. The majority of PAC members was supportive of a larger calendar and indicated we would continue to support the project. Mr. Dear also informed us that there are changes planned for the students’ agenda book. An agenda that is not so deluxe and therefore less costly is being considered
Motion: That the PAC support the large calendar project with a donation of $1500.00 to come from the Gaming Account - CARRIED
