IMPORTANT NEWS FOR GRADS

DRY GRAD

Attention Johnston Heights Grads. Tickets for Dry Grad are now on sale. Please bring your order form and money on Thursday or Friday to get your ticket.


ARE YOU ON THE GRAD LIST?

The Grade 12 Graduation List has been posted by the school store. Grade 12 students should check to make sure their name is on the list. If you notice an error, please inform the office immediately.


COMMENCEMENT

Commencement ticket distribution will begin Thursday, May 17th at lunch from the Accounting office. Each grad will be given up to 3 tickets free. If you require additional tickets you will be placed on a wait list. Additional tickets will cost $5/each.


GRAD ASSEMBLIES

      - Grad Assembly #1 – Tuesday, May 15th @ 10:18
      - Grad Assembly #2 – Friday, June 8th all morning starting at 8:45 with Grad Gown pick up @ 1:45.

CONGRATULATIONS

Competing for the Barry Sullivan Cup, Tom Matsumoto (grade 12) came 3rd out of 35 students speaking on the topic of "Access to Justice: Does having the Charter lead to a more just society?". The competition is hosted by the BC branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Click here for details.





S.A.M.E. PROJECT

Students from schools across Surrey, including Johnston Heights, have been contributing to the S.A.M.E. Project (Surrey Appreciates Me). They are working with mural artist Jennifer Loughery on a venture called Take It to the Wall. Read more info from the links, or take a look at some of the photos from the day at this link.

Parents are encouraged to contact your child's teacher by phone or email if there are any concerns or progress updates required.
Click on the staff link for the list of teachers. Click "Email Me" beside the name of the teacher you wish to contact. A new email will automatically open up, and you can then type and send your question.



STUDENT DRIVERS PLEASE NOTE!
If you are driving your car to school and parking in a school parking lot the car must be registered at the office. We will be placing warning notifications on student cars that do not have the JH Parking Decal clearly displayed. Please read the notification here.

Did you miss out on purchasing a year book from past school years?

There are limited quanitities of left over year books from past school years. If you would like to purchase one, the price is $20/book. Contact Ms. Lambe if you would like to purchase one. Please keep in mind that for the 2011/2012 school year, there will be no extra year books ordered.
