  • Capital Plan Summary 2009 - 2012 (36 KB)
Each year, school boards are required to submit a Five Year Capital Plan to the Ministry of Education describing and prioritizing capital project proposals such as new schools, school sites, additions or major renovations. The capital plan is a sort of district "wish list" of projects, prioritized for consideration and approval by the Minister of Education.

This is a summary table of the Surrey School District’s 2009-2013 Five-Year Capital Plan. The list provides a ranking of the Surrey Board of Education’s proposed capital plan projects in order of priority and the requested year for funding, as submitted to the Ministry of Education.

No projects were approved for year one and two of the plan, and school districts have been instructed to submit capital project requests for approval for year three to year five (2011 to 2013), which are the years captured in the attached table.

The projects listed are the Board's priorities; however, project and funding approval by the Ministry of Education is required before a project can proceed.

The full, detailed Five-Year Capital Plan report will be posted when available.
