On Tuesday, September 7, 2010, over 67,500 students in Surrey and White Rock will be returning back to school. The Surrey School District welcomes all students and wishes you the very best for the year ahead.
Opening Day Class Times
Below is important information about class times
on the first day of school (and dates, if different from above).
Please note - there are no bus services available for special education classes on opening day.
Elementary Schools
Elementary schools are staffed beginning August 30, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for registrations or questions. School locations and phone numbers are in our school directory.
- Kindergarten: All schools provide gradual entry for kindergarten students. Please confirm starting dates and times with your elementary school. All kindergarten children will be in regular, full attendance by Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
- Grade 1 - Grade 7:
All Grade 1-7 classes begin at 10:00 a.m. on September 7, 2010. Classes will be dismissed early.
It is important to confirm dismissal time with your elementary school.

Learning Centres
Opening class times and dates vary for Learning Centres. Registration begins August 30, 2010. Please contact the Learning Centre nearest you:
Adult Education
B.C. secondary and adult graduation; upgrading for grads, GED preparation; foundation skills; English language learning, Math, Science, Social Studies, Information and Communication Technology. We can help you develop an education plan that meets your needs. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. Classes start September 13. All locations are open for registration and assessments starting August 31.
