Earl Marriott secondary continues to dominate in web design at Skills Canada competition, bringing home the gold

By winning gold at the Canada-wide competition held from May 20 - 23 in Waterloo, Ontario, Earl Marriott secondary student Riley Van Ryswyk follows in the footsteps of Earl Marriott web design students from previous years  --  2009 gold medal winner Jason Cho, 2008 bronze medal winner Erin Chung and 2006 gold medal winner Joel Kitching.

Competing in robotics was the team of Jason Wallace and Christopher Hall, also from Earl Marriott. They finished just three points shy of the bronze medal.

Other Surrey district students representing B.C. at Skills Canada were Serena Morin and Natlie Brash from Clayton Heights (3D animation) and Tyler Kropinak from Fraser Heights in welding. Brad Wicks and Joey Mei from Earl Marriott, silver medalists at the provincial level in 2D animation, also participated in the national competition as the gold medalists were unable to participate.

Congratulations to all students who advanced to the highest level of competition in Skills Canada.
