Enthusiastic student scientists bring their experiments to Central City Mall for Science Fair

Students from 44 Surrey elementary and secondary schools have shared their passion for science with mall patrons, volunteers, parents and each other at the Surrey school district's annual science fair.

More than 200 students displayed projects, such as a dramatic demonstration of how pulleys work, an experiment testing the effectiveness of bike helmets, and a working model of wind turbines. The enthusiasm and commitment of students was evident as they shared information on projects that took weeks of research.

District science fair organizers extended "a huge thank you" to Central City Mall for hosting the event; to Guildford Mall for providing tables and chairs for science displays; and to the more than 60 community and teacher volunteers who helped run Science Fair 2010.
