After 29 years supporting and leading education in the Surrey School District, deputy superintendent Peter Drescher is leaving his post.  He will be succeeded by assistant superintendent Sharon Cohen on August 1, 2010.

The Surrey Board of Education recognized Mr. Drescher at a public board meeting with a gift and remarks (PDF) from board chair Laurae McNally about his long and diverse contributions to the district.
