Surrey district volunteers treated to a recognition evening as a "thank you"

The Surrey Board of Education recognizes volunteers who contribute their time to helping students with a Volunteer Recognition reception every two years.

The volunteers were treated to refreshments and student entertainment at the Bell Performing Arts Centre. Trustees, senior staff and student representatives also expressed their thanks during the ceremonies.

The Holly elementary school "Music Minors" provided entertainment to a standing ovation from about 300 parents and other Surrey school district volunteers. Top notch student entertainment was also provided by the Sullivan Heights Senior Jazz Band and the North Surrey Secondary Choir, 'Polaris'.
