Clayton Heights Night Riders girls' rugby team finishes second in province
 


The Night Riders won three of four games at the three-day provincial girls' rugby tournament, facing their toughest game of the year in the final. Their first and only loss came after a gritty performance in the championship game, where they were defeated by Brentwood College with a final score of 14 - 5.

The Night Riders played four games at the tournament in a little over 48 hours, first defeating the Merritt Panthers 14 - 0. They then moved on to a decisive 21 - 0 win over the Columneetza Cougars of Williams Lake. To reach the championship game, the Night Riders defeated the Heritage Park Highlanders with a score of 24 - 12.

Michelle Manning was named to the tournament's President's 15 all-star team. Coach Glen Sandve praised all players for their exceptional play that showed passion and heart.
