Kwantlen Park cross country boys team continues to impress at provincials

The Kwantlen Park cross country boys team continued its very successful season with a third place finish at the provincial championships at Crescent Park last week. The team has already claimed the titles of Surrey Champions and Fraser Valley Champions this year.

Highest place finisher of the team was Justin Kent, who finished second in the senior boys event. He was overtaken in the last 250 metres by a charging Connor Clerke (Kelowna) for an exciting finish. Kent, who has already been crowned Fraser Valley champion, has his eyes set on winning the nationals in Guelph at the end of November.

The other Kwantlen Park team members who contributed to the team’s success are Tim Delcourt, Geoffrey Bringi , Gurjit Rajput, Riley Brady-Springer, Sudtin Johnston and Blake Wickes.

Other Surrey senior boys teams finishing in the top 15 at provincials are Elgin Park (8th) and Semiahmoo (11th).
