Three Surrey schools show their environmental colours by winning at the BC Green Games

Erma Stephenson Elementary, Dogwood Elementary and Fraser Heights Secondary are three of the 24 winners of the BC Green Games, winning a cash prize of $2,000 per school. A total of 140 entries from 34 school districts across British Columbia entered the competition.

Students at competing schools were required to design a creative and innovative solution to an environmental challenge in their school or community, document their actions, and measure changes resulting from their actions. The BC Green Games is a partnership between Science World British Columbia and the BC Ministry of Education.
