Crescent Park teacher Carolyn Logan-Estey submitted an essay to a national contest sponsored by tech company CDW Canada and her essay about how technology has improved the learning environment for students with learning difficulties won first place.
Judges described her essay as “a strong and moving story”.
At a ceremony held at the school, Crescent Park Elementary received a wireless classroom bundle valued at $5,000 that includes four notebook PC computers, a multi-function printer, a projector and a wireless router. The school also received Internet security software for each of the notebook computers.
