Busloads of Surrey students arrived full of positive energy to cheer the Tamanawis Wildcats and the Fleetwood Park Dragons at the PNE Agrodome for the provincials.
The Dragons gave it their all, rallying in the second part of the third quarter and the start of the fourth quarter, but a very strong St. George's team pulled away as the fourth quarter progressed. Final score was 71 - 47 for St. George's.
The Wildcats battled Kelly Road to the bitter end, coming within four points of their opponents with two minutes left in the exciting game. In the end, Tamanawis ended up short with the final score 66 - 58 for Kelly Road.
