The Surrey Chapter of the BCTLA and the Surrey School District will be hosting the 2007 B.C. Teacher-Librarians Conference. Highlights include:

  • Book launch gala for I am Raven, David Bouchard's latest book
  • Two outstanding keynote speakers
  • Choice of a wide variety of workshops from local speakers and authors
  • Advocacy forum

About the Workshops: The workshops will be taking place on Friday, October 19. Sessions are 60 minutes long and take place in the morning and are repeated in the afternoon.

Attendees may select a total of two workshops. There are a maximum of 30 people per workshop due to limited seating, unless otherwise specified. We suggest you register early to avoid disappointment.

David Bouchard David Bouchard: The Gift of Reading

Simon Jackson Simon Jackson: The Power of One
Time Magazine Hero for the Planet and Spirit Bear Youth Coalition founder Simon Jackson is an acclaimed motivational speaker who has spoken to thousands of schools, conferences, and special events about the plight of the spirit bear and the message of the power of one: united as one voice. Simon's inspiration story was the recent focus of a made for TV movie (Spirit Bear: The Simon Jackson Story) and is applicable to all ages and to a broad cross-section of audiences.
