CLASSROOM RULES ANDEXPECTATIONS
Absences:
  1. A note is to be brought for each absence.
  2. Students are responsible for missed work due to absence.
  3. If student misses a major exam, the note must indicate understanding that a test has been missed. This note is expected the day you are back. Teacher will then arrange a make-up exam.
  4. Most classes will start with a quiz, if the quiz is missed an omit will only be granted if a note is provided the next day, explaining the absence.
Expectations:
  1. Complete all homework assigned, as you will be quizzed on it the following class. Incomplete homework will result in a 1% deduction from the cumulative term total. Homework checks will be done on random days.
  2. Arrive on time for each class and be ready to start at the end of the second bell.
  3. Remain in your seats until dismissed by teacher.
  4. If you are late, you must wait until you are invited into the class. You will receive a 0 on the daily quiz.
  5. Raise hand to ask questions.
  6. Utilize class time efficiently.
  7. Show respect to others.
  8. Refrain from talking during announcements, when the teacher is talking and when a classmate is asking a question.
  9. Come prepared to all classes.
Notebook:
  1. Write your name and date on the top of each page.
  2. Use and underline headings.
  3. Use dividers to organize your notebook into the required sections.
  4. Identify your notebook on the outside with your full name, subject and teacher.
  5. Put a homework sheet at the front of your notebook or use your agenda to record dates.
  6. When using the textbook, make sure to write down the page numbers and the questions assigned.
  7. Make homework corrections in different colored ink.
  8. All work must be shown. No marks are given if answers only are shown as these answers are supplied in the text. I must see your process!
  9. Keep your notebooks neat, with no loose papers.
Extra Help:
  1. Teachers are available for help. If your teacher is not available, you may ask any math teacher for help.
  2. A student tutoring program is in place in which up to an extra 5% per term is available by being a tutor or by being tutored. There must be a minimum mark difference of 10% between the tutor and tutored.
