Welcome to the Languages Department!
Our department offers a host of courses related to modern languages which are much needed in this age of globaization. Our primary goal is to enhance the oral and written fluency in our students, so that they are able to communicate without hinderance in French or in Spanish. We also strive to make out students appreciate the languages being taught and develop a strong desire to converse in them. For this reason, we organize many events so that our students are able to meet and converse with native speakers of the language and are also able to know more of the culture involved. Please be aware that a Grade 11 modern language course is demanded by many post-secondary institutions for admission into their programs, and that a Grade 12 Modern Language course is required for graduation from some Post-secondary institutions.
