The role of the Students’ Council is to provide students an opportunity to participate in the activities of their school. Such opportunities generally involve volunteering to help organize a wide variety of school events ranging from fund raising to dances to school spirit (for example, milk and cookies for Christmas, colour days and so forth). One can participate at two levels. First as a member of the general Council, offering input for the variety and nature of school activities and a chance to earn volunteer hours bringing those ideas to life. The second level of participation is at an Executive level, where students get a chance to develop and demonstrate leadership skills.
