Options Available
The Surrey School District offers two (2) merging French Immersion programs that end in grade 12. Both options provide a unique opportunity for students to embark on a positive learning experience with life long benefits.
The first of the two options is known as Early French Immersion (Kindergarten entry). Students enrolled in this program enter French Immersion in Kindergarten and graduate in grade 12 with a bilingual Dogwood Diploma (French & English).
The second option is the Late French Immersion program (Grade 6 start). Here, students enter French Immersion in grade 6 and graduate in grade 12, also with a bilingual Dogwood Diploma.
The two programs merge together in grade 8, integrating the knowledge and enthusiasm of all for a common goal. Graduates of our program are functionally bilingual upon graduation. They can apply on federal government jobs, foreign postings that require French language, etc.
