New Addresses

Due to the rapid growth of some neighbourhoods, a number of newly created address ranges within some school catchments may be missing from the School Locator. It can take several months before new addresses are added to the School Locator.

Parents may be asked by school staff to provide correspondence to the new address (such as a utility bill, etc.) and school staff may need to manually confirm the approximate catchment location of the address prior to registration.

Postal Code Errors

We have been discovering some problems with catchment areas in the School Locator, which is based primarily on postal codes, then addresses.

Canada Post has been bringing old postal codes for Surrey out of retirement as new development areas are being built up, and re-assigning them to different areas of Surrey than previously assigned. This is causing problems in the School Locator, as the old postal codes are still in the system and being used in the previous code locations as well.

Report Errors

If you discover errors in the School Locator, please contact Baragar: click on the "contact school locator administrator" at the bottom left of the School Locator window. Please provide the address, the incorrect school result and what the correct school should be.

While we attempt to ensure the accuracy of this tool, please note that the boundary maps set the offical catchment boundaries for the district.
