The City
of Surrey website has a sophisticated online mapping system
available, called COSMOS. With it, you are able to query,
view and print a wide range of city information, such as zoning,
aerial photography, utilities, parks, roads and recreation
facilities.
PLEASE NOTE: COSMOS may require Internet
Explorer Browser 7.0 or greater to work properly.
You can view school catchment areas and locations on the "Community Services" layer of the map.
Please note that this service is provided by the City of Surrey and not the Surrey School District.
Go to the map on the City
of Surrey website. Once the map is
open, click on the following links to view school catchment
areas:
- Under "Map Layers" (right hand side) click directly on the folder beside "Community Services" - please do not click the box to the right of the Community Services folder (clicking this box would open up unrelated city facility layers)
- After the layer list for community services is visible, please click the box on the right of the appropriate layer files for "Elementary School Boundaries" or "Secondary School Boundaries" to view Surrey School District school catchment boundaries. Click the box right of schools to view all school locations and labels (with differing symbols for elementary, secondary and private schools).
- Use the zoom tool (top left) to zoom in on an area of the map to view local detail, including house numbers etc. Please note: in order to use the zoom tool, you must first minimize the pop up box for the layer list.
