STUDENT ABSENCES

Students are expected to attend school on all days in session. Students who are unable to do so are expected to ensure that notification of their absence is provided by their parents or guardians. When your child is away for more than one day, it is important that you contact the teacher to discuss any problems and follow up the learning that your child has missed.  Vacations during instructional days are not encouraged due to the disruption to the learning process. However, should a child need to be away from school, we encourage all of our students to:

•   read daily

•   keep a detailed written journal

•    practice basic math facts (+,-, x,-)

We also encourage parents to purchase store bought workbooks for students to use.
