Parents, teachers and principals on School Planning Councils (SPC) develop school plans to improve student achievement. Parents are encouraged to participate in this process.

The Surrey School District's School Planning Council Resource Manual explains in detail the roles and responsibilites of each member and outlines strategies for the effective operation of the Councils.
